The Bulb Eater crushes fluorescent bulbs of any length, and separates the glass and metal fragments of the tubes from the toxic chemical components. This safe and simple process allows for proper disposal of the hazardous waste, and recycling of the original cardboard containers. The Bulb Eater eliminates exposure to phosphor dust, and mercury vapour from broken light tubes through a built-in carbon absorption system and particle filter, and can be safely used in educational institutions, hospitals, residential complexes and office buildings, as well as manufacturing, commercial and industrial sites.

"Recycling waste fluorescent and HID lamps containing mercury is a necessary management practice for companies concerned about cost management, future liability and protecting the environment."

The BULB EATER MARK 2000 made of durable, corrosion resistant painted metal shell, is engineered to separate the glass and metal fragments of the tubes from their chemical components, collecting them in heavy duty replaceable plastic bags while absorbing their mercury and phosphor in specially designed filters. The bags hold up to 80 crushed tubes and can be safely removed for transportation to hazardous waste disposal facilities. Its compact design allows for greater usage of space within the often restrictive confines of maintenance departments. Automaticly the unit shuts down when capacity is reached.
