With the Money Detector unit, there is no need for your staff to manually inspect every bill. If the clerk is skeptical of a bill, he can always manually check the security features with the built in UV lamp.
US and Canadian currencies use cotton-fiber paper that absorbs UV light while counterfeit bills tend to be made of cellulose fibers which reflects UV light. When a counterfeit bill is passed through the Money Detector, the reflected UV light is detected by the sensor, and the alarm sounds.
